Even if you convert it which is fairly simple the .380 have to be shaved or use hollow points or they will jam in the clip I have converted a few never had one blow up but I do use real chambered .380 barrels from a gunsmith and they shoot just fine---------------

32 ACP VS. 380 ACP
If the world were a different place, and you could carry a handgun wherever you pleased without raising suspicion, you might not consider a pocket pistol cartridge like the 32 ACP or the 380 ACP. Still, a small cartridge has its merits.
A smaller handgun like a Ruger LCP weighs under 10 ounces. That’s a lot more comfortable to tuck into your waistband than a five pound Magnum Research BFR. A smaller cartridge means smaller recoil, which makes self-defense accessible to those with less experience or a slighter build. (We know a 95 pound lady who can empty her Walther PPK on a target like she’s shooting lasers out of her fingertips.) A smaller handgun is also more affordable, putting self-defense within reach of pretty much anyone’s budget.

Converting a blank-firing firearm es-
sentially involves removing the barri-
ers to normal firearm functionality
put in place by manufacturers. While
almost any blank-firing firearm is po-
tentially convertible, certain models
have features that make them more
attractive as potential ‘converts’. While
there are plainly considerations such
as availability and cost, three design
features appear particularly influential
in determining how readily a blank-
firing firearm can be converted
(Ferguson and Williams, 2014, p. 6).
The first consideration is the direc-
tion in which the blank-firing firearm
expels the gas pressure created from
a fired cartridge. Front-venting blank-
firing firearms lend themselves more
readily to conversion. Whereas top-
and side-venting blank-firing firearms
require changes to the barrel to direct
the projectile’s (bullet’s) energy for-
ward and permit its exit, front-venting
barrels automatically direct the pres-
sure to the end of the barrel, just as
with a real firearm.
Second, the ammunition that the
blank-firing firearm can chamber is an
important factor. Many blank-firing
pistols have shorter chambers, as
blank cartridges are shorter than car-
tridges fitted with a projectile.
Bulleted cartridges are not perfect fits
in blank-firing firearms, but can often
be manipulated to work (see Box 1).
Finally, blank-firing firearms con-
structed with harder metals (such as
zinc alloy, steel, or gunmetal), espe-
cially at key pressure-bearing points,
are sought because they improve safety
and performance (Hales, 2006, p. 39).
